1. Who we are
Bodhe is provided by PT Larasberg Studio Co ("we", "us"). We're responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Questions? Email hello@larasberg.com.
2. What stays on your device
Most of Bodhe runs on your iPhone and Apple Watch. The following is read and kept on your device and is not sent to our servers:
- workouts and their routes, including rides you record in Bodhe (saved to Apple Health);
- heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, VO2max, weight and body composition from Apple Health;
- individual meal and water logs;
- saved routes and paired Bluetooth sensors.
You can use Bodhe without an account. In that case, your profile, gear and body scans stay on your phone too, and nothing leaves it except as described in section 5 for maps.
3. What we collect when you sign in
The coach needs an account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we collect:
Account
Your name, your email address (or an Apple private relay address if you choose to hide yours) and an account identifier from Apple or Google.
Coach data
Your weekly plans, ride reviews and consults (your messages and the coach's replies), your identity, goal and habit, and which coach you picked.
Profile and settings
So the coach and your other devices see the same numbers, we sync your profile: height, weight, sex, max and resting heart rate, FTP, gear list, habit days and fallback, daily check-ins, breaks, and the values from body scans you import. We keep a history of changes to these settings so the coach can see how they've moved.
Training summaries
When the coach plans, reviews or answers, the app sends it a summary of what it needs, for example the last six weeks of workouts (date, sport, distance, duration, climbing, average heart rate and power, load), fitness, fatigue and form, two weeks of daily sleep, HRV, resting heart rate and food totals, VO2max and longer-term trends. Raw Health records and GPS routes are not sent.
Photos you ask the coach to read
Photos of gear or spec sheets, and screenshots of your smart scale's app when you import a body scan. These are sent through our servers to the AI provider to be read, and arenot stored. We keep only what's read from them: the gear specs and the scan values.
Usage records
For each coach request we log which feature you used, the AI model, and the amount of text processed, so we can apply daily limits and keep costs in check. Our servers also keep short-lived technical logs for fixing errors.
Support
Whatever you send us when you email us.
Diagnostics
Bodhe has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools. If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports.
4. Apple Health
Bodhe reads only the Health data types you allow and writes the workouts you record. You choose which types in the Health permission screen, and you can change them any time in iPhone Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Bodhe.
We never use Health data for advertising, marketing or data mining, never sell it, and never share it with anyone except the AI provider that runs the coach, and then only as the summaries described above, when you use the coach. We don't store Health data in iCloud, and we don't store raw Health records on our servers.
5. Location and maps
Bodhe tracks your location only while you record, to draw your route and measure distance and speed, including on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. The route is saved with the workout on your device and never sent to us.
- Maps are loaded from OpenFreeMap, using OpenStreetMap data, and from Apple Maps on Apple Watch. They see your IP address and the map area you're viewing.
- Route planning: when you plan a route or ask the coach for one, we send your last known position, rounded to about 10 metres, and the places you name to openrouteservice, run by HeiGIT gGmbH, to find them and calculate the route. The AI coach doesn't see your position.
You can turn location off in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Bodhe. You can still log indoor rides and use the watch.
6. How we use your data
- To run the coach: plan your week, review rides and answer your questions. (Basis: our contract with you, and your explicit consent for health-related data.)
- To keep your account working and secure: sign-in, abuse prevention and fixing bugs. (Basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, working service.)
- To answer support requests. (Basis: our contract with you.)
- To meet legal obligations. (Basis: legal obligation.)
We don't show ads and we don't build marketing profiles.
7. The AI coach
The coach runs on Claude models from Anthropic, which acts as our service provider. It receives the training summaries, messages and photos needed to write a reply and processes them only to provide the coach to you. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn't use this data to train its models and keeps it only for a limited time.
To look up gear specs or answer a question, the coach can search the web. The search terms (for example a bike model) go to Anthropic's search provider, never your Health data.
The coach reads what you type. Don't share anything in a consult you don't want it to process.
8. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run Bodhe, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case we'll tell you first.
9. How long we keep it
- Account, profile, coach and usage data: until you delete your account. We delete it from our database straight away, and it drops out of our provider's backups within 30 days.
- A consult: you can delete one any time. Its messages are gone for good; your plans and ride reviews stay.
- Photos you send the coach: not stored.
- Server logs: a few days.
- On-device data: until you delete it in the app or Apple Health, or delete the app.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
10. Your rights and choices
Under Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022), and similar laws where you live such as the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect what we did before.
- Delete your account: Settings › Account › Delete account.
- Delete a consult: open it in Coach and tap Delete.
- Stop sharing Health data: iPhone Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices.
- Anything else: email hello@larasberg.com. We'll act on it within 72 hours, as Indonesian law requires.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in Indonesia or where you live.
11. Children
Bodhe is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. If we learn that we hold data from someone under 18, we'll delete it.
12. Security
Data between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to it is limited to the people who need it to run Bodhe. Data on your device is protected by iOS. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
13. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for those transfers.
14. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when Bodhe changes. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The effective date at the top shows the latest version.
